PAMANA’s mission is to foster unity and harmony among the Filipino American community in greater Madison through social, cultural and educational activities.

The Filipino-American Student Organization at the University of Wisconsin Madison (FASO) aims to educate and spread awareness about the Filipino culture and history, foster friendships and identify with each other through educational, cultural and social events programming.

Do these mission statements read almost the same?

PAMANA and FASO have common goals! As an organization, PAMANA is pleased to endorse and support FASO in all their endeavors. Doing so allows PAMANA to extend our outreach to young Filipino Americans and live out our “legacy” to the next generation of Pinoys.

The UW FASO Philippine Culture Night is on Sunday, March 31, 2019, 3PM-7PM with a theme Sino Ba Ako? (Who am I?)

PAMANA members, supporters, families and friends and the UW FASO parents are invited to this free event!

The PAMANA board gave approval to provide lechon for FASO’s annual cultural event.  Yumm.

Will you help us help FASO carry out a successful event by showing our hospitality and showcasing our Filipino value of Bayanihan, the communal spirit of unity and cooperation?

Two hundred participants and guests are expected to attend!

Help PAMANA and FASO in one or more ways:

  1. Attend the UW FASO Philippine Culture Night on Sunday, March 31, 2019, 3PM-7PM. The free program is from 3:30-5:00 PM in the Great Hall of UW Memorial Union. It’s a semi-formal event. 2. Bring at least one Filipino dish or dessert placed in a 1/2 size deep foil pan (9 inches x 13 inches) from among select Filipino classic dishes. If bringing a soup dish, please provide soup in a pot with soup ladle. All food must be dropped off between 2:30-3:15 PM at the second floor of the the Multicultural Center/Red Gym. Kindly identify dish name, type of meat and donor name by adding a label on the the dish you’re bringing.  SEE Dish List below.
  3. Donate for catered food. Can’t cook or can’t attend? We will gladly accept monetary donations. PAMANA will use all donated funds to have catered Filipino dishes made for the event. Minimum donation request is $25.00 but any amount will be greatly appreciated.
